David Chami
David Chami is a consumer protection attorney with extensive experience representing people harmed by credit report and background check errors. He has handled more than 1,500 Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) lawsuits and has recovered nearly $100 million on behalf of clients. His litigation experience also includes cases involving civil rights, employment, consumer protection, and insurance bad faith.
David regularly speaks at legal conferences, where he educates other attorneys about the FCRA and consumer protection law. He serves on the National Executive Board of the National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) and as NACA co-chair for the state of Arizona.
David earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan in 2005 and graduated cum laude from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2009. During law school, he was nominated for the Outstanding Graduate Award and received the Prize for Public Interest for his work with Phoenix Valley youth.
Today, David’s practice includes credit report errors, bankruptcy reporting errors, mixed credit files, deceased reporting, background check errors, identity theft recovery, EFTA and FCBA violations, debt collection harassment, employment discrimination, and labor law violations.
