Dawn McCraw

Dawn McCraw is a consumer protection attorney with extensive experience helping people deal with inaccurate credit reporting, debt collection problems, and other issues that can cause serious financial harm. Her work in credit and debt began more than 15 years ago, when she co-owned a company that helped consumers navigate credit and debt issues. The problems she saw consumers facing ultimately inspired her to become a consumer protection attorney.

Dawn has served as lead attorney in hundreds of Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) cases. She is also a certified expert witness for credit litigation, FCRA Certified, FICO Pro Certified, and a certified Continuing Education Instructor for realtors. Her experience includes credit reporting, credit scores, debt collection, and robocall violation issues.

Before entering consumer law, Dawn spent many years as an engineer in the high-tech industry, including roles at Motorola, Intel, and Hughes Space and Communications. Her experience spanned executive leadership, business development, strategic marketing, intellectual property valuation and commercialization, contract negotiations, wireless communications, and satellite systems engineering.

Dawn earned her B.S. from California State University, Fresno, her M.S. from the University of Southern California, and her J.D. from Arizona Summit Law School.

Today, Dawn’s practice includes credit report errors, bankruptcy reporting errors, mixed credit files, deceased reporting, background check errors, identity theft recovery, EFTA and FCBA violations, and debt collection harassment. She is admitted to practice in seven states and numerous federal district and appellate courts across the country.
