Isabella Barbosa Ruggeri

Isabella Barbosa Ruggeri is a consumer protection attorney who helps people address credit reporting errors, background check mistakes, identity theft, debt collection problems, and other issues that can affect their finances and everyday lives. Her background in both consumer protection and human rights has shaped a practice focused on helping individuals understand and protect their rights.

Isabella earned her B.A. in Political Studies and Canadian Studies from Mount Saint Vincent University in Canada in 2017. She later earned her J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2021.

During law school, Isabella worked as a law clerk with several human rights organizations in the United States and internationally. These experiences gave her exposure to advocacy work involving people from a variety of backgrounds and legal circumstances.

Isabella later worked as both a law clerk and an attorney in consumer protection, building experience representing individuals facing problems involving consumer reporting and other consumer rights issues.

Today, Isabella’s practice includes credit report errors, bankruptcy reporting errors, mixed credit files, deceased reporting, background check errors, identity theft recovery, EFTA and FCBA violations, and debt collection harassment. She is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C. and is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates.
