Landon Maxwell

Landon Maxwell is a consumer protection attorney who helps people navigate legal problems that can affect their credit, finances, employment, reputation, and everyday lives. His practice includes credit reporting errors, background check mistakes, identity theft, debt collection issues, and other consumer rights matters.

Landon earned his B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, Economics and Law (PPEL), cum laude, from the University of Arizona and his J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.

During law school, Landon served as an Article Editor for the Law Journal for Social Justice and Outreach Coordinator for the Court Works student organization. He also worked as a student attorney in the ASU Immigration Clinic, clerked at an immigration firm in Phoenix, and received the CALI Award for Advanced Estate Planning.

Before beginning his legal career, Landon worked as a tutor at the University of Arizona SALT Center, helping students with learning disabilities. He also coached a speech and debate team that qualified for nationals under his guidance.

Today, Landon’s practice includes credit report errors, bankruptcy reporting errors, mixed credit files, deceased reporting, background check errors, identity theft recovery, EFTA and FCBA violations, and debt collection harassment. He is admitted to practice in Arizona and multiple federal district courts across the country.

Landon is also a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA).
