Meir Rubinov

Meir Rubinov is a consumer protection attorney who helps people fight damaging and inaccurate consumer reporting and unfair or deceptive debt collection practices. His approach to law is shaped by a strong belief in protecting people when they are dealing with systems that can feel difficult or overwhelming to navigate.

Raised on a ranch, Meir developed his work ethic while caring for chickens, sheep, goats, cattle, and donkeys. He credits that upbringing with teaching him the importance of responsibility, integrity, compassion, and protecting those who may be vulnerable.

Meir earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Queens College and his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. His legal experience has included pro bono work in Nassau County Matrimonial Court, where he helped self-represented litigants navigate divorce proceedings, as well as experience in criminal defense and civil litigation.

Today, Meir focuses his practice on consumer rights, particularly inaccurate consumer reports and unfair debt collection practices. He also participates in community advocacy and consumer education, helping people better understand their rights and the options available when something goes wrong.

Meir is licensed to practice in New York and is admitted to multiple federal district courts across the country, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Outside of his legal work, he enjoys bodybuilding and swimming.
