Nisan Zaghi

Nisan Zaghi is a consumer protection attorney who helps people challenge credit reporting errors, unfair debt collection practices, and inaccurate background checks. His practice focuses on laws including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), which provide important protections when inaccurate reporting or improper collection practices cause harm.

Before focusing on consumer protection, Nisan developed his litigation skills working in patent litigation. He later represented individuals in consumer protection cases, combining his technical and analytical background with a client-focused approach to legal advocacy.

Nisan was drawn to consumer law because it gives individuals a way to hold businesses accountable when mistakes, shortcuts, or improper practices damage their reputation, credit, or financial opportunities. He prioritizes communication with his clients, making himself available to answer questions and keeping them informed as their cases move forward.

Nisan earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law as a merit scholar. He also holds a B.S. in Biology from Brooklyn College, where his research-intensive coursework helped develop the analytical skills he now applies to complicated consumer reporting disputes.

Nisan is licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey and is admitted to multiple federal district courts across the country. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association. Outside of his legal work, Nisan enjoys hiking, swimming, and spending time with his wife and children.
